How much is my online business worth?

Every valuation tool multiplies your profit by a number. The only question that matters is where the number comes from. Ours is the median of 4,858 businesses that actually sold — read from the same market we track every day, model by model — not a rule of thumb. Pick your model, enter your profit, and see the range.

Questions

How is an online business valued?
Online businesses sell for a multiple of their annual profit (SDE). The multiple depends mostly on the model, the quality and durability of the earnings, and growth. This tool applies the median multiple from real closed sales in your model to your profit, then shows a ±15% range — the width a broker would quote.
What multiple do SaaS businesses sell for?
SaaS commands the highest multiples of any online model because revenue is recurring and margins are high. The exact figure moves with the market; the table on this page shows the current median from the sales we have recorded, refreshed daily.
Profit or revenue — which should I value on?
Profit (SDE) is the standard for a profitable business and gives the most reliable figure. Revenue multiples are used for businesses that reinvest everything or have not turned a profit yet; switch the tool to “revenue” for that case.
Is this an official appraisal?
No. It is a data-backed guide to help you set expectations before you talk to a broker or buyer. A real offer turns on diligence — verified financials, growth, customer concentration and how clean the books are.
